We were designing navigation pictograms for OTP Bank offices.
Our first idea came from the bank's logo. We used its dot, its slanted lines, and its overall line-art style. The second idea was more like the office's interior design, which used a system of circles, squares, and hexagons.
In the end, the more classic first option won. But even with that traditional, line-art style, we still managed to add many interesting touches: the slanting we mentioned, combining sharp inner corners with soft outer ones, and open lines.
